An Audacious Undertaking

Beginning August 11th, you’ll have three weeks to sign up for Connect, Grow, and Go! opportunities for September-December.  This is how we mature as disciples, and everyone is encouraged to take a next step.

I’ve decided to do something audacious this coming school year, something I’ve never done before.  I’m going to offer two different Disciple Bible Study classes.  Disciple Bible studies meet weekly from September to May, require weekly reading and a real sense of, well, discipline.

Disciple 1, a comprehensive immersion into the whole of the Bible, will meet on Mondays from 6:30-8pm.  If you’ve never taken a Disciple class, this is the one for you.  You will learn some amazing things about the scriptures, and develop lifelong relationships with your classmates. Not always easy, it will reward your life greatly.

Disciple 2 is an in depth study of Genesis, Exodus, Luke, and Acts.  If you’ve wanted to further your study beyond Disciple 1, this is for you.  It will meet on Sundays, from 6:30-8:00.  Childcare will be available for both classes, with a minimum of 8 to make each of these Grow Groups happen.

Why am I investing so much time in these classes?  Because, as I look at our congregation I see so many people poised to add this kind of depth to their faith.  Long time members and new arrivals.  Virtually all leaders in our church have experienced Disciple.  Maybe it’s time for you, too.  If not, please check out all the other Grow Group options coming up!
